What is AFK?
AFK is an abbreviation for away from keyboard. It lets people know that you will not be at your keyboard for a while, or that you will not be online for a period of time.
AFK in Gaming
The acronym has had a bit of a resurgence, thanks to games like "Among Us," in which idle players are often labeled as AFK.
AFK in Discord
When a user is online but not active on the server, a Discord AFK channel becomes very useful. Discord adds users to AFK channels when they’re inactive for a certain number of minutes.
