Can you detect if someone is using your Wi-Fi?

Simple Way to Check if Someone is on Your WiFi

A low-tech way to check if someone is on your WiFi is to look for a flashing green light on your router after unplugging or turning off devices connected to your WiFi.

Monitoring WiFi Signals to Detect Activity

By listening to existing WiFi signals, it’s possible to detect activity and human presence even without knowing the location of devices. Monitoring surveillance can be done across multiple locations.

Accessing Router Settings and WiFi Password

  1. Accessing Router Settings:

    • Open the designated web-based management page of your router.
    • No internet connection required.
    • Ensure the router is connected to the operating system.
    • Amend router settings as needed.
  2. Viewing WiFi Password:

    • Select your Network Box.
    • Click on Show next to Wi-Fi password to display it.

Retrieve Username Information

On Android and iOS devices:

  1. Go to the profile tab at the bottom of the app.
  2. Your display name is listed at the top.

Understanding Usernames

A username is the name used for identification when accessing a computer system or online service. In an email address, the username is the part before the "@".
