Blocking Caller ID for a Specific Call
To block the caller ID for a specific call, dial 1831 (or #31# from a mobile) and then dial the number you are calling. This will usually prevent the person you are calling from seeing your number.
Keeping Your Number Hidden
By dialing 141 before the number you want to call, you can keep your number off individual calls.
Making a Phone Call Anonymously
To make a phone call anonymously, dial *67, enter the number with the area code, and tap Call. The recipient’s phone will display "Private," "Anonymous," or another indicator instead of your mobile number.
To hide text messages on the home screen:
- Open the messaging app on your phone.
- Tap the three-dot icon in the upper right-hand corner to access the Settings menu.
- Disable all message pop-ups to keep them hidden from view.
Hiding a Secret Text Message
To hide a secret text message, split the word or phrase into individual letters, such as using H, E, L, and P to hide "HELP". Ensure not to omit any letters as it may alter the code (e.g., "HELP" becoming "HEP" without the letter L).
Finding Hidden Messages
- Visit messenger.com and log in to your Messenger account.
- Tap on the gear (Settings) icon at the top of the page and go to ‘Hidden chats’ to view a list of hidden chats.
