Copyright Duration
The term of copyright for a particular work depends on several factors, including whether it has been published, and, if so, the date of first publication. For works created after, copyright protection lasts for the life of the author plus an additional 70 years.

Reposting on TikTok
The new Repost button promotes the video to your friends on TikTok. You cannot use someone else’s content without permission. Doing so is illegal copyright infringement.
Removing a Copyright Claim
- Sign in to YouTube Studio.
- Click Content from the left menu.
- Filter for Copyright claims.
- Click SELECT ACTION to trim out segment.
- Edit the start time and end time of the section being removed.
- Click CONTINUE.
