In general, the chief executive officer (CEO) is considered the highest-ranking officer in a company, while the president is second in charge. However, in corporate governance and structure, several permutations can take shape, so the roles of both CEO and president may be different depending on the company.
Director’s Role and Title
A company director handles the operations of the company and ensures its success. Directors are not just those registered as such at Companies House. They include individuals who act as directors, whether officially titled or not.
CEO vs. MD
The CEO holds the highest position in a company, while the Managing Director might work under the CEO in many companies or have a similar role in others, potentially also being part of the board of directors.
