How to Apostille a Document
Two steps are required of all those requesting to have a document Apostilled. First, you must have the document Notarized by a certified Public Notary or it must have a government certified seal on it. You must submit documents as provided by the Secretary of State.
Notarization for Apostille
Can a document be Apostilled without being notarized? Notarization is always included in the Apostille, as it is a main requirement for obtaining the Apostille. A notary must witness the translator’s signature on the translation and the document being translated is submitted along with the notarized translation for authentication.
