Which do you think will be the bigger franchise, DC Extended Universe or Marvel Cinematic Universe?

While both are units of multitiered media companies (Marvel is owned by Disney and DC is owned by AT&T), you can’t really judge either based on the fact they’re parts of a bigger sum.

And for for the record, AT&T is a much larger company than Disney.

That said, if you compare the original IP owned by both comic publishers, the number is pretty even, and growing. But let’s see what’s true.

• DC Comics: 37 films (plus two coming out later this year and five coming soon), 10 serial films and four TV films
