How to get the Samsung Galaxy M10 to be able to screen mirror
Assuming you want to project your M10 mobile phone to your Windows 10 laptop or PC:
On your PC:
- Turn on WiFi. Screen casting works through WiFi.
- Select Start/ Settings/ System/ Projecting to this PC
- Setup permissions and an optional security PIN
- Push the blue button for discovering the PC to ON position
On the Samsung Galaxy phone:
- On the home screen, swipe from the top edge to downwards.
- This opens a quick setup menu to enable/disable WiFi, Bluetooth etc
- Select 'Smart View'
- In the Phone -> Other Devices section, your PC should be listed.
- Click the name of the PC to connect to it.
At this point, you may get a notification on your PC asking for permission to accept the screen cast
Grant the permission.
Now you are ready to watch the mobile phone on the big screen of your PC!
Troubleshooting:
To check connectivity:
- On your PC, click Start/Connect.
- Press CTRL+S to open the settings menu.
- Your Android phone should be listed under 'Allowed Devices'.
If the display on the PC appears 'crushed', go to your mobile again and select Settings/ Phone Aspect Ratio.
Select 'Full Screen on Connected Device'.
