Main Characters of Death Note
Two of the reasons it’s so damn popular and memorable are its two main characters, Light Yagami and his Shinigami sidekick Ryuk. While Ryuk was literally tied to Light that didn’t change the fact that he was at times a true friend to the lonely (by choice) Light.

He will never be caught because he isn’t going to do the mistakes which ultimately got him killed… at least he won’t give off his location Japan which was the biggest mistake Light made in the anime.
