Requirements for Becoming a Lawyer
To become a lawyer, one must obtain a master’s degree in law. Passing the qualifying exam allows registration in the Bar Association.
Number of Exams and Costs
- First year: six exams
- Second year: six exams
- Third year: five exams
- Fourth year: remaining exams
Costs of Law Books
The average cost of a law book for law students is 31.7 euros.
Number of Exams for Degrees
- For a bachelor’s degree, the student must have at least 180 credits in 20 exams.
- For a master’s degree, the student must have 120 credits in a maximum of 12 exams.
Exam Sessions
- For Pegaso sessions: exams can be repeated the next day.
- Up to two exams can be taken via email per day.
- For Ecampus sessions: up to two exams can be booked.
University Exam Sessions
Most faculties offer three exam sessions per year: winter session (January-February), summer session (June-July), and a shorter session in September.
