Reconnaissance and Recovery
- Specialization of SEAL Team 2: SEAL Team Two deploys platoons to Naval Special Warfare Unit Two in Germany. They also deploy amphibious ships to the Second and Sixth Fleets and conduct Deployment for Trainings (DFTs) throughout the European theater.
- Recovery of Matt Axelson’s Body: PO2 Matthew Axelson’s bones were found during a combat search and rescue operation. When Navy personnel arrived to recover his body for burial, they discovered he was a few hundred yards away from the RPG explosion site.

- Current Status of Mohammed Gulab: Michael Wildes, Managing Partner of Wildes and Weinberg, P.C., announced that his client, Mohammed Gulab, and his family are now escaping from Afghanistan as refugees under international law.
- The Luttrell Family: The younger brother of Luttrell, Morgan Luttrell, is also a former Navy SEAL. As a lieutenant, he left the Navy.
