Lifespan in Death Note
A lifespan (寿命, jumyou) is the amount of time that an individual will live for. It also refers to the date (in Shinigami time) visible above a person’s head with the Shinigami Eyes. When the date is reached, that person’s lifespan is over and they will die.
Light Yagami’s IQ
Yagami Light’s IQ: 215–230. A lot of people fail to understand that an IQ test measures certain types of abilities in relation to short-term memory, analytical thinking, spatial recognition and more.
The Pupil and the Eye

A singular Death Note has 60 pages, but the owner can ask their Shinigami for a new one when their current one runs out. This means that technically, it does have an infinite number of pages.
Ryuk’s Relationship with Light
Ryuk never actually cared about Light in any affectionate way. He thought of Light as entertainment; he was bored and he dropped the death note on purpose so that someone would find it.
Shinigami Eyes and Light Yagami
Light never got the Shinigami Eyes. Ryuk told him that to get the Eyes, a human must surrender half of their remaining lifespan. Light had no intention of doing that, as he wanted to reign as God over his New World for as long as he possibly could.
