What is the half of 1/4?

Half of 1 = 1/2 which is also 0.5

Half of 1/2 = 1/(2x2) which is also 1/4 or 0.25

Half of 1/4 = 1/(2x2x2) which is also 1/8 or 0.125

1/4 ÷ 2 will be solved like this…

1/4 ÷ 2/1

or,1/4*1/2 {While dividing one fraction by other fraction,we will make reciprocal of divisor}

or,Ans=1/8

. now about method 2

1/4* 1/2

Ans = 1/8

Proof:-

To restore a number which is previously been halved….multiply it with 2

Following this here…

Our answer is 1/8

1/8*2 (1/8 multiplied by 2)

or,2/8

or,original no 1/4

Hence, proved…
