What is the Tagalog translation of inshallah?

“Inshallah” in Arabic means “Let it be God’s will” which is similar to the Christians saying “Let God’s will be done.”

In Tagalog, there is a saying called “Bahala na!” which is based on the ancient name for the Supreme Being and Creator “Bathala.” It can mean a number of things, depending on the emotion of the person saying it:

“Let God handle it.”

“Let God sort it out.”

“Leave it to God.”

“If the Lord wills it…”

“What will be, will be…” (like Spanish “que sera, sera”)

“If it happens, then it happens.”

“Come what may…”

“It depends…”
